Manager Rafael Benitez has revealed that Steven Gerrard is a doubt for Liverpool's Champions League semi-final first leg tie with Chelsea on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old sat out his side's 2-0 win away at Fulham with a neck injury and Benitez is unsure if he will be fit in time to face the Blues at Anfield.

"We don't know at the moment," he said. "Steven is working with the physios.

"He is improving but it is still too soon. You always have to be careful with the neck."

A shit Gerrard is still way better than most and he will play.
How many other players is the world can produce it when it is needed like Gerrard. He has done it time and time again for us, some still bear a grudge but for me it is long gone.
He just has to play as with him on the pitch you just always stand a chance.
I am starting to get the old nerves going already I dread to think how I will be come Tuesday, to reach the final again would be a remarkable achievement even allowing for our remarkable history.
Sometimes we should all just stand back and be thankful for what we have had, we have had it all in heaps and buckets and then some.
Sorry just went into a mini rant there.
