Re: If the boardroom unrest continues into the summer and Rafa decides to walk.......
Agent's are cunts to a man, wouldn't read to much into that.
If its true to begin with. |

Re: If the boardroom unrest continues into the summer and Rafa decides to walk.......
Correct. I have heard that too, but he has been doing it since November.
Brownie, I feel the same too. The way he has kept going this season despite the shit storm and with the players being babies as well at one point, you have to admire him. I want him to stay and prove he can challenge for the league. |

I would ask the Porto coach to take charge, he'd do the job and has a fair amount of domestic and European experience

Tommy Smith. Giv him a few weeks to set things straight and then bring back Rafa.
Btw, nice to see a fellow Esteban Granero fan. |

that's it, he'd also be available as he's on a one year rolling contract with them.
i can't really think of many other good candidates you could look to La Liga, maybe Caparros, Aguirre (who I rate)

If we were looking to La Liga, Pellegrini would be good.

Heh.. Really hope he would play with Real next season. It looked set now. Otherwise he should come here! But i dont think Rafa'll buy him.. Loan maybe..

Re: If the boardroom unrest continues into the summer and Rafa decides to walk.......
He's not happy with Real because they think he should be loaned out next season too and have apparently told them that he either plays for them or he gets sold before next season. I would love to see him here next season.

Benitez keen to stay at Anfield
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has spoken of his desire to stay at Anfield despite the boardroom battle between co-owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks.
Benitez's position has been thrown into doubt over revelations the American duo and chief executive Rick Parry held talks with Jurgen Klinsmann last year. But on Friday the 48-year-old Spaniard reiterated his determination to honour his contract, which runs until 2010. "I'm really pleased and happy here and want to stay," he said. It was originally thought only Hicks talked with the former Germany coach, who is due to take over at Bayern Munich at the end of this season. However, reports claim Parry also attended the meeting in New York - but only after after being told to by his American bosses. The chief executive is understood to have had serious misgivings about the meeting and its potential effect on the club if news of it leaked out. The relationship between Hicks and Gillett broke down some time ago, leading to civil war breaking out at Anfield. Hicks wants Gillett ally Parry to quit, labelling his tenure a "disaster". But Parry has the support of Gillett and a majority in his favour among the club's six-man board. BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Liverpool | Benitez keen to stay at Anfield |

Re: If the boardroom unrest continues into the summer and Rafa decides to walk.......
Mourinho without a doubt, I didn't like him at Chelsea but that was because I knew how hard a team they where to beat with him in charge, was made up when he left but maybe its better the devil you know as Ferguson and United will probably take over our title hall soon and he could have held them off for a few years longer atleast until we got a side capable of putting in a title challenge ourselves, if Rafa walks and we could get him as manager whiskey beak would be gutted.

We would need an experienced, tactically astute, and inspirational leader of men - ideally one who understands The Liverpool Way.
So, obviously... ![]() |
