Re: Team for Fulham

We are playing decent without anyone really standing out.

Finnan has looked uncomfortable at right back but hes just back from injury so his lack of sharpness was bound to be there.

The difference between Torres and the rest of our strikers is massive.

Not watching it so I'll take your word for it, Coop. However, if the players can start to play at their peak in every game, regardless of the opposition or level of rotation, then we'll be a much improved side next season. The Arsenal league game really impressed me with the way a make-shift side played so well and got a good result. However, raising your game against the best in a high-stakes match is no measure. Doing it against relegation fodder when there's less to play for (like today) is more encouraging.

Yes, we're playing well at the moment just need to keep it up. Voronin seems to be everywhere at the moment working hard to get on the ball.
Need to see it out cos this will wrap up champs league for us.

Rafa has made Voronin into a Kuyt - shame he will never make him into a Torres

We started very poorly Paul but picked the game up after about 15-20 minutes and in all fairness if we picked the gears up we could hammer these.

Again no-one has really stood out, except possibly Pennant who is having a good game on the right.

Players like Voronin, Lucas, Benayoun and Mascherano are doing decent but are capable of more.

Crouch is linking up alright but i always find myself watching and except more of him.

Another pronounciation of Benayoun; "Bessayun". Signed Ron Atkinson.

to be fair though, the difference between Torres and virtually all strikers in premier league is pretty massive at the moment. there aren't many better than Torres right now.

Re: Team for Fulham

If we upped our game a bit there's a couple more goals to come in this game. Pennant is playing well everyone else seem to be playing within themselves. Fulham don't look too threatening.

He thought it was going wide, bad call that.

We've been better in the first half than I thought we would. Let's get the second and kill the game early in the second half.

It is a strange performance. I think Voronin has been very good, until he tries a finish that is. His shooting is worse than Kuyt`s, but his first touch and passing has been sublime. Lucas added another assist and has been involved in some very good inter play, and his running is intelligent, but he has also been at fault by some sloppy passes. The same goes for Mascherano and Benayoun who as well is mixing the good with the sloppy.

Finnan, who I think played well against Arsenal was terrible. I dont think i`ve ever seen him perform like this in a Liverpool shirt. Otherwise the defence has been in control, except one miss by Sami when he let a goal kick drop over his head, letting in McBride, who luckily mishit his shot.

As others have been saying, at times we have played fairly well, and if our players raise their level abit, and improve the final ball, we should run out comfortable winners.

Pleased so far.

Re: Team for Fulham

I thought we looked a bit below par if I'm honest, Pennant's finish was the only outstanding moment. The keeper didn't think it was going wide Captain, he just knew he couldn't get anything on it. Not many goalkeepers could have done.
