Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has hinted he could hand Argentine left-back Emiliano Insua a Premiership debut before the season ends.

He told liverpoolfc.tv: "Yes. He is still a young player but he is improving and I think he will be one of the names maybe in the future. "We will see in the games we have left now. He played some games last season and we will see. He could be an option."

It is long over due. After he played that run of games (at the same stage of the season last year) and performed really well, I thought he would certainly be a squad player this year. He has been a stand out player in the reserves this year so lets hope he does get a chance.

I'm almost certain he'll play at Fulham. That's going to be a pretty weakened team. Which is a shame, because I'd love to give them a drubbing and put them on the verge of being relegated.

He's not injured, he was an unused sub today. Ablett made him do laps around the pitch, so he's defo not injured. May well make the squad at the weekend.
