The work on the new ground starts on the 9th of September 2008.

The reason for Sept IMHO is a simple one the club will be sold and that will allow the new owners the time to get their plans approved, and would mean that the workies wouldnt have all there gear pinched, by the kids who are off School and dont go back till the first week of Sept

I cant see that, there isn’t a need for a big digger you could use normal ones its a park not something with a tungsten crust If the only reason for delay is the fact they cant get there own digger they would hire one as the delay of 5months would offset any hire costs

I not saying that isnt the reason they have given just that it doesnt hold water
