That is the absolute worse case scenario. I am not saying it has not entered my head but realistically I doubt that would happen.

Re: The New Ground.

If they get planning permission - IF - then as long as they've not dipped into that £60m they should be able to get it off the ground, then they can start getting the rest of the money released as they go along.

Wasn't that £60m borrowed for the new stadium as well as "the working capital".

Don't be surprised if you hear £50m of that £60m has already been spent on Maschareno, Skrtel and interest payments.

It was £105m split into £60m stadium, £45m transfers, working capital and fannying around.

If the whole matter is not resolved I can see it happening and the Bitters constantly chucking stones at it and trying to nick everything that isn't nailed down!
Oh and they'll have a good laugh at us as well.
Something very suss about announcing that date.
You haven't secured the money to confirm the completion of the project but have given a date, why?

Re: The New Ground.

Work starting on the ground later this year, £12 million available for a young English player, our useless CEO getting threatened with sack.

You would think one of the owners was trying to be popular wouldnt you.

Spot on there Coop. You forgot about Rafa getting a contract extension.

I can seriously see more than a few falling for these.

Re: The New Ground.

Just to back up my statement,I know the main lads who are in charge of the managment team and the QS's.

The ground is getting built to the 60,000 that has been approved by the council. The 73,000 plans have been sent to the council and are awaiting approval.

Money is in place to start the stadium which at the present moment is set at a cost of £310m now this price has been given to both owners(whether they will still be here to see it through is debatable) but including inflation the price will rise to £400m.

A quote from Hicks on this was "don't worry about the inflation as the naming rights will make up for the short fall".

Naming rights were always going to sold though, even if the clowns had stayed in charge they would of had to do the same.
