Whilst I agree with the overall tone of the article, I take issue with the glib dismissal explaining that:

It isn't - the question is would all of the shareholders have been happy with £4,500 per share when there was an offerof £5,000 per share on the table? The answer for many of them (and I don't mean the single share owners here) would have been no. That's an economic reality that no amount of french polishing the facts can change.
There's already so much to despise the whole bunch of venal, grasping fucks for, we don't need to gloss over issues like that - they hardly shift the balance. In fact, the over-valued bid itself was essentially the start of this whole shitstorm.

At the moment its owned by a guy who's friends with George bush and actively supported the war which killed millions and millions of innocent people.

What fucking pointless drivel. There isn't a successful, developing, fast growing economy ANYWHERE in the world which does not exhibit the same amount of rich abusing poor, locals abusing foreign workers crap. Its part of the human condition - its not an Arab or Dubai curse.
For fucks sake, next minute you'll be saying that Britain did not get a leg up in its Industrial Revolution by stealing territory from half of the people in the world, ripping off their natural resources, and horrendously abusing their people.
Or perhaps you want to develop your "profiting from human misery" bandwagon by discussing Liverpool's development as a port city due to its involvement in the slave trade?
