I can't believe for one second that this will be straight forward in any way.
He's a cunt, and proves it in this interview.

Remember - other people's levels of cuntishness does not mean you're any more or less of a cunt. He's a cunt in his own right.

The death threats. He has taken them so seriously that he has now decided that for fear of his life he can't sell one share to Hicks. He's turning down a deal that could net him potentially £80m because of these death threats. My fat fucking arse. If he's so worried why's he going to the Arsenal game next week? Surely these evil hitmen are going to find it easier to nip down to London with their Uzis than over to Colorado?

He also tries to make out he cares about the club - the lying shortarsed twat. Oh yes - you care about it alright. You've just slandered our supporters as potential killers. We get enough of that shit off our enemies without someone claiming to be on our side starting it.

He's fucking panicking. Hicks may or may not be under financial pressure - well he will be, but we don't know how much. But Gillett is up shit creek without a paddle, and far too shortarsed to paddle with his hands. The longer this goes on the harder it is for the little toad.

If 101 conditions were met by Hicks with regards finance, apologies, letting his sons take over instead of him and so on, he could gain some acceptance perhaps. Don't get me wrong, the 101 conditions aren't going to be easy to meet, if even possible. But Gillett is the biggest (but shortest) snake of the two. Gillett's been a twat from day one, we just didn't see it.

Gillett is a greedy, lying, fake, egotistical tit.

Too right, he can't even bring himself to speak Hicks' name.

That sounded very encouraging given that we know that things are still going on behind the scenes. The big worry would be that it's more of the same bravado from Gillett that saw him throwing cash around on TV.

Well I would have to disagree with you on that one.Simple reason being he is well liked in the other sports teams he invovled in.He keeps himself to himself unlike Hicks. The only thing he is allegedly done was the Klinnsmen sound out and even that is only going on what Hicks said.He has basically distanced himself for awhile from all the crap going on.I think he will come good over the club and not sell anything to Hicks.

The entire way he holds himself is far too affected. He's overly friendly with people he barely knows, then there's his egotistical boasting, the way he loves the sound of his own voice. He tries to build up an atmosphere that is overly comfortable, it's as if he's trying to hide a snake behind a bed of freshly picked roses.

He's admitted in the interview he was going to sell some of his share to Hicks, but has now changed his mind because of supposed death threats. As for fans of other teams liking him, a lot of fans of Hicks' teams like him. I know there are anti-Hicks sites for the Rangers and so on, but they're an exception to the rule from what I've seen.

Also - Obscene greed

One voice, but it won't have gone unnoticed that insinuations are being made over here.

If he was going to come good, he'd have not been hanging on and on for more and more money. He really doesn't give a shit, as long as he can keep his image...

Re: GG on the radio in Canada

Listening to that Gillett implys that Hicks had his chance to buy him out but didnt so does that mean that Hicks no longer as the power of veto.

He mentions that 'its like Chess pieces in that some are waiting to be moved' - i think DIC i wanting to buy the club 100% but Hicks is still reluctant to sell.

Personally i think fuck all will happen until the end of the season when then hopefully it will get sorted.

Re: GG on the radio in Canada

I thought it was an excellent and revealing interview. Well worth a listen.

He started out by talking about how things were going with the team, and he seemed to talk reasonably knowledgeably, talking about the Mascherano red card and the strict referee.

He mentioned that they received up to 2000 emails a week, with 95% directed at Hicks and 5% at both. The ones about Hicks were to urge not to sell to him. The ones to both were along the lines of 'get out of our club'.

Gillett did mention threatening phone calls and emails, but he also mentioned supportive emails, including an invitation to the pubs to have a drink with the fans, learn the songs etc. He said that he and Foster were coming over for the Arsenal game, and he also confirmed, beyond any shadow of doubt, that the partnership with Hicks was over. He said it had been for some time.

The one intriguing thing was that he said it might be time to think about buying the club, since Hicks 'couldn't get over the finish line' to buy him out. It's hard to know how serious a proposition this is. In all likelihood he is just saying this as a tit-for-tat move back at Hicks.

Gillett spoke very highly of DIC whenever they were mentioned. I think he had a few genuine regrets that the past year has been such a shambles and the owners were not able to deliver what the fans wanted/deserved.

Hopefully it will. But it's just about the worst season in memory for this to be dragging on. We urgently need substantial investment in the side this close season. Assuming Rafa is staying, and that he sticks with the system of the last few weeks, the deficiencies are glaringly obvious. If this drags on, and money is not forthcoming in the summer, we could be in the shit next season. Balls to the lot of 'em.

Re: GG on the radio in Canada

The problem i have with any interview either of these two do is what to believe and what not to believe.

The thing i would say about Gillett is when they first took over he was on the charm offensive but only as recent as two weeks ago we were hearing stories that the hold up on the DIC was him wanting more cash and we know he was the one wanting to bring in Klinsmann.

He may well be the minority share holder that was talked about if DIC take over but it still asks the question what to do with Hicks.

This guy is a stubborn twat and i dont think he will deal well with wanting to own the club himself to then see Gillett still there.

Gillett makes reference about just getting to the end of the season now and hoping to continue in the Champs Lge so for me it seems nothing will happen until the season has finished.

That was a great interview and he is very clear that he feels that the club hasn't been run well for 12 months. He seems to like the club but is really diappointed with the lea
