I know we were offered Rio for 10mill from West Ham so i guess it makes sense now, I'm surprised at brown though with him being a manc lad and all that oh well i guess some mancs have taste then....

looks like we've missed out on Milan bound Alves but Rafa seems keen on Rafinha.

I've been a huge supporter of Finnan in the past, with Carra, Stevie & Pepe he's arguably been out most consistent peformer since Rafa came. However he's not getting any younger and like Carra has had niggly injuries this season leading to a drop in standards. Hopefully next season he'll be abck fully fit and we'll have mr reliable back again, maybe with more attacking competition.

If we're looking for an overlapping, pacy, attack minded right fullback, then Alves is no.1. If he is off to Milan or proves too expensive, then Rafinha is apparently the next best thing.

As for Wes Brown, he is a good player. He would offer good cover at CB and RB and would do a good job for us in either of those positions. I don't like Man Utd just like anyone else on here, but I won't let that blind me in assessing Wes Brown. He is not top, top draw, but he is a very competent squad man, at the least. By the end of the season he will have played almost every game for the (likely - aarghhh) Premier League Champions. That would make him good enough for us.

We don't need another fullback, arbeloa is good enough. I don't understand how people are slating him. He's had some impressive games for us. Ok so he wasn't great against the mancs but how many of our players were? He's quick, normally defensively solid, good first touch, good distribution and offers a good outlet out wide when going forward. There's more important positions that need to be filled before even looking at RB namely a good LB and a right winger.

Oh and what's with this Wes Brown shite. Why would any red want that cunt i have no idea.
