The injustice of his performance at OT still infuriates me. I saw a few minutes of his match today and couldn't stand it - three or four players questioned things (more animatedly than Mascher) and, unlike in our game, he ignored or even SMILED about the protests! He is insufferably, shamelessly, inconsistent. Football is run so unprofessionally - you get an idiot like him seeking out victims in one game and then every other ref ignores the same things and no one complains. It is a profession in which the media gesture rules.

Don't know why anyone is suprised. Mr Bennett 'officiated' a game for the Mancs in 2004 in which 'cant tackle' Paul Scholes kicked fuck out of Chelsea players despite already being booked. Mr Bennett advised Taggart to get him off the pitch otherwise (after half an hour)another booking would make him miss the Cup Final. It was joked about on Sky about his 'poor tackling'. But Taggart took him off & he played in the Cup Final. In Europe they are not. Hence him holding the record for yellow cards given out for 'Champions League' games. But he's Paul Scholes and he can't tackle......................................
