Re: DIC, final offer?
Its all getting very confusing. I can only guess that Gillett will remain a minority shareholder thus entitling him to any future profits as part of the buyout. There must be clause that says Gillett cannot sale that 1% to Hicks.
I am only speculating.....

if they do that they are fucking idiots!
also again for a fact gillet can sell his shares in part i.e 1% or whatever or the whole thing 50% but no one in their right mind would buy 49%...
oh wait.

Re: DIC, final offer?
There's too much plotting and counter plotting and too many actors to get a reliable source. There's Parry and Moores, then there's DIC, then there's Hicks, then there's Gillett, all with their own aims, all with their own PR, all with their own spin and counter spin.

Re: DIC, final offer?
Seems an incredibly stupid thing to do if thats the case, maybes something you would expect Parry to do, not DIC surely.

Is the right answer...
I'm afraid us poor schmucks (after all, we're only the fans...) are just going to have to wait and see what happens.

Re: DIC, final offer?
actually the more I think about it it wouldn't be a 'totally' insane move.
dic buy 49% which effectly pays off gillets half of the loan the rest going to gillets pocket, they (DIC) can then sit tight and wait for the loan to be up for refinance and hick will have to come back to the table again in a year GUARANTEED.
the down side is the dic would have no say in ANYTHING and it would give hicks ONE YEAR to come up with funds and security for the loan.

Re: DIC, final offer?
I couldn't be more underwhelmed now. Only we could fuck up selling the club in the first place and then have even longer protracted negotiations the second time around.

Just about spot on as usual.
Parry and Moores worry me the most in the equation, if any two can fuck it all up then look no further than those two numpties. Maybe luckily for us this time they do not hold any cards but it is still not beyond them to fuck it all up.
