Re: DIC takeover a done deal?

For the record, another poster on RAWK called ShanksLegend, who seems equally well respected, is now questioning what CTR is posting as his own source hasn't told him anything. He's asked for the 'turmoil ahead' thread to be locked, although he doesn't make it exactly clear which claim he's disputing: that the takeover is done, or that there are still a lot of splits within the club.

Section 31, you may wish to look away at this point.

I hope it's the splits within the club...

Neil, I have just seen that myself and now wish I hadn't put it on here. FFS, the two reliable sources on RAWK and now they are in dispute! Still have a gut feel CTR is not bullshitting.

Re: DIC takeover a done deal?

Players will be sold

well fuck me that is a shock in its self isnt it

DIC as we all know have made a move the deal was suppose to be very close and just a couple of little issues to sort out was the last bit of info

Then DIC had employed a PR firm to act for them with regard to the club and its dealings with Fans etc

It isnt a secret that the deal was close it would have to be doen before March or it will them be another tax year and that would be no good to either parties so we have a window of about 3 weeks to get this done so i would think it is very close if not already done and that is without any mole at the club

Re: DIC takeover a done deal?

There's always some kind of 'qualification' to these 'insights' which never fail to piss me off.

At first it appears to be 'Done and dusted' and then you read down a bit further and it always says something like 'there's still some details to be ironed out, one or more parties are dragging their feet but expect some developments in the next few days or weeks.'

So in short - nothing has changed.

Re: DIC takeover a done deal?

I've just had confirmation that Hicks was in Dubai today (Tuesday). He arrived late morning and is due to leave on Thursday.

Make of that what you will, but it's been confirmed 100%

I've also heard whispers that DIC are "confident" everything will be sorted before he does leave.

Hmmm great news at last then. Find it interesting that DIC and the New Manager have already fallen out.

Re: DIC takeover a done deal?

Beating Inter and getting rid of the Yanks, I am that used to bad news it might be too much for the system to take..

There are really major divides within the club, it does not take a rocket scientist to see that.
We can but hope that things are drawing to an end but I am not building the hopes up just yet. We also have to see what DIC brings us but it cannot be anyworse than the two we have.

m0e - Top Man.

I have sent an e-mail asking one of the finance journo's I chat to sometimes but I guess if there was something concrete he has heard it would be in The Telegraph today!

O'Neill, O'Neill... Hmm. Let me think. Erm. Is he-? No, no, sorry. Can't place him.

Through careful deduction I have calculated that your reporter friend works for the Telegraph. Don't ask me how I worked it out, it's best I don't reveal my techniques, but I know I'm right. Unless he's a freelance.

The best bit on this thread is m0e's news.

Hopefully they'll find Hicks kissing Gillett and deal with them accordingly.

(I know I shouldn't joke about that, sorry.)
