Nick suggested spending £90m NOW on 3 different players and then £30m on a player every season.

That is my understanding anyway.

He didn't say "Now" - He suggested that "as a business plan" - given that the whole thread is about the DIC takeover, I thought it was clear that he was talking about the DIC business plan. Taking into account things like stadium build, extra capacity, stadium naming rights - it's clear that the £100 Mill needed in the first season would be covered in this DIC "Business plan" - a £30 Mill player every season after that would be well within the budget available.

Yes, I understand this is a DIC thread and that Nick was talking about their "business plan".

My opinion was, spending £90m NOW with anticipation of future income won't be a sound business plan - "from an investor's perspective".

Unless they are are boring and pedantic. I am sure you knew what I was getting at.

If I was responding in kind, the easiest thing to do would have been to point out the spelling mistake in the post which questioned my use of a word.

But I am far too nice to do such a thing.

Can we close this thread? Its never happening and the daily ritual of seeing it with a new post hoping for new news is wrecking my head and probably a whole lot of peoples as well.

They dont want us that badly or they'd simply buy us. End of.

I know people are going to say they are a business blah blah blah. If you have the money and you want something badly enough then you simply pay. They obviously dont want us that much.

Oh but I so love this thread - and it's so close to 5000 posts. Surely it deserves the chance to get to 5000. Coop or Rash, get on the blower to DIC and tell them they've not got long before it reaches 5000 then it'll be closed down.

That should give them some impetus and focus.
