If they decided it would be a fan of their own choosing then it would be a cop-out. Having Kenny on the board is still good if it happens, but that's not what most people understand by "fan on the board".

Good on SoS for playing DIC at their own game. Maybe they had clearance for this announcement first, but if not it puts DIC in a position where they'll look like twats if they go back on this. DIC have been quick to let the press know if they've had meetings of any kind with SoS, obviously to suit their own needs. This suits SoS's needs and gives DIC no option really!

If I'm being cynical I doubt it being a powerful board member with the ability to block any big decisions or change important plans, but it's still pretty powerful to have someone sitting in on the meetings and acting as a bridge between board and fan.

I think its sound the way they are trying to do a Barcelona type thingy, even if it didn't materialise at least it will give the bread heads something to think about as it is a viable alternative to the business heads crap we have had to endure with recently.

What would it mean anyway what would it matter who it was do you really think that If DIC or whoever put there millions into the club they are going to go to this fans rep and say look we are thinking of signing this fella for £30m what do you think ?

Do you think they would invite him into board when they where having a drains up

or do you think they would want the image of a fan with a say while giving him nothing but titbits while they get on with the big boys stuff elsewhere

And lets say this voice of the fans was on the board and it was a him and 4 others they want something he says no 4-1 the vote is carried does he then come out telling the fans that they dont listen to him at the meetings and out vote him cos if that happened it would be worse than the fat texan now and if it was the other way he just had to grin and bare it what is the true value of it

for me it is a nice idea a good PR stunt for the DIC group and a feather in the cap of SOS and none of that is anything but good for the club

but i would just ask people to not get to hung up on who how or why just yet as its is all a dream until G&H are out
