Re: DIC: takeover thread
I think May will be the month he leaves
I have believed that for a fair while now, i can't see how he can hold on, he can't get the money to buy Gillet ou,t so Gillet can sell to who he wants, and If DIC take 50% Hicks is finished He knows it but it wont stop him fighting to keep control of the club until the bitter end |

Re: DIC: takeover thread
It's been all over the more respectable press that he's fucked and has been told to sell by JPMorgan. He is fucked, no-one will buy a stake in Hicks R us and he's screwed. The sale is matter of days away. This is the one positive we can take from tonight - the pair of cunts will go and the future is what we all want...A chance to compete financially with the Scum and Chavs.

Re: DIC: takeover thread
I`m pretty sure Hicks can hold on to the club if he really wants. After all, the debt is on the club and can be secured against the club assets. Even if Hicks is affected by the credit crunch in the US, thats really down to his american based businesses, not Liverpool. He has not spent a dollar of his own money on this club.
On the other hand, if he doesnt have the money to invest in the club (ground, players) the value of the club is probably gonna go down. Hopefully he is more of a businessman than a stubborn shitehead an wil realise that. And im not convinced that Gillett are trying to do the best for the club either. I dont have any information and hopefully im gonna be proved wrong |

Re: DIC: takeover thread
Sunday is the absolute ideal day to make a stance, there is fuck all to play for and nothing to lose, whatever it takes get the message across to the main media...broader than SkySports...make a stance. We are liverpool Football Club, the fans, not two Yanks with massive loans and no concept of what it means to spend your life adoring LFC.

I think there are several investors around with enough cash to support Hicks in his bid for 100% control. |

Re: DIC: takeover thread
Yes, because the debt on the holding company can easily be reclaimed from their other assets ...

Re: DIC: takeover thread
He's a cunt. A gobsite to the end. The day he went on Sky in his LFC polo shirt proved he was panicking. No money has come forward, it backfired everyone saw through it and now he's trying to save face by turning up at games with a song and a scarf, he is fucked, he knows it, and before too long we can forget about the piece of shit.

Re: DIC: takeover thread
So what you're saying is they've hoodwinked us and the total debt is against the club? Cos that's not what I understand.

I am not claiming there is a 90 day clause but Gillet wants to sell and if Hicks cant come up with the money then he can sell to who ever depending on the timescale in the terms agreed between them both Once DIC have the shares Hicks will see his stake reduced by a further half unless he can come up with another 200m for his 50% of the stadium costs and if DIC wont agree to borrowing the cash he is fucked and at that point he doesn’t matter as he would only hold 50% of the team and none of the stadium where the money will be made so he will go as soon as he cant prevent the sale he will agree to sell his 50% also it is all about saving face now |

Re: DIC: takeover thread
What do the banks do if they call the debt in on the holding company? They sell their assets.

Surely they would be forced to sell other assets first?
