It is frustrating to the point of breaking the resolve of some people. However, a firm date can never be put on these things, particularly when dealing with volatile people.

If those involved in trying to make this happen knew exactly when it would happen, I can assure you that Liverpool fans would be made aware of it.

Re: DIC: takeover thread

Its impossible to put a date on when/if DIC take over but it seems nothing will happen until the end of the season but hopefully sorted so Rafa can be given some money to spend.

We dont want to be going into the start of next season still with uncertainty around who is going to own Liverpool.

Re: DIC: takeover thread

If a deal is not successfully negotiated before the start of next season, then one can reasonably assume that no such deal will be forthcoming beyond that time.

If DIC do not have a deal sorted by the start of next season surely that means that Hicks position is weaker due to the fact its getting closer and closer to him needing to sort out loans for both the stadium and next year to refinance.

Banks will lend him cash i would imagine but at interest rates we wouldnt be able to match.

Or he could say "they will be good owners" which means the deals done?

Maybe a takeover is closer hence why Rafa's agent may have been sounding out other clubs.

I think by 'buying' he means the MLS franchise for Montreal getting a MLS team.

Re: DIC: takeover thread

If you play the interview backwards, in the 23d minute, you can actually here George whispering "I've... Sååold... The... Club... Tååom Hicks... Is... Satan..."

Also, I remember a old Nostradamus prediction. Something about "Two brothers... Torn apart by chaos..."

You Heard it here first.

He added: "We were very fair. We gave our partner a long period of time to try to make arrangements to buy us out.

"We didn't put pressure on him but he ultimately did not get to the finish line.

"In the meantime, because of the things he said, the fans' reaction has been so negative towards him - and towards us if we sold to him - that has now made that an untenable alternative for us.
Superb journalism.
