It’s pedantic whether you want to call it good luck or bad luck, my point is these tackles happen every week and it rare any injury occurs, I just think taylor is being unfairly treated and unfairly vilified due to this incident.

i remember the shit gerrard got for his 2 footed tackle in the derby. he was getting pelters for weeks as he missed the games after video trial. it's all died down after 3 days.

No, but while it's not as serious as murder, manslaughter is still pretty bad.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that lack of intent is only a partial defence. When you consider Adrian Mutu got a 7 month ban for enjoying himself, a 3 match ban for potentially ending someone's career (intentionally or not) seems woefully inadequate.
