Re: Javier Mascherano

I think he's been a revelation since we borrowed him. Our best player more often than not. And a performance tonight that will have the Spanish and Italians slavering after him.

That scottish retard Charlie Nicholas said the other week that Diarra for Pompey is better than Mascherano. What a fucking tool.

I was only joking, sadly no one bit.

I still love Xabi, though. There is room in my life for both.

MOM for me tonight. He was fantastic. Such a great attitude too. Couldn't get in the West Ham team though!

I'm starting to seriously love the guy now. I don't think he's needed when we play at home against shite, but games like tonight are made for him.

Re: Javier Mascherano

If we don't sign him it will be the worst transfer decision I can recall. Worse than signing Diouf.

Re: Javier Mascherano

It was a shame they didn't ask Didi for his opinion on Masher.

Underated by others - check
Brilliant Defencive Midfielder - check

He does didi's job as well as didi did but in a different way. Didi used to draw fouls to break up attacks. Masher just produces another amazing tackle and away we go again. Talking shit i know, but Masher is immence.

Re: Javier Mascherano

Masch, in the first half especially, was absolutely immense. One of the best 45minutes ive seen from him. He was awesome, NO ONE got through him. Lucas slotted in well too. Second half, when they totally lost all will to attack, he didnt have to do that much, but still was faultless in possesion. An absolute giant of a player. I would let him dry bum my bird.

Re: Javier Mascherano

Lucas was also very good tonight, he's going to be some player.

I love Xabi but with the quality of Mascherano (and hopeful signing) and the emergence of Lucas I think he could be moved on.

That'll be the Captain who pulls us out of the shit time after time.

That'll be the Captain whose goals got us to Istanbul and won us the FA Cup.

That'll be the Captain who EVERY other club side in the world would love to have in their 1st XI.

That'll be the Captain who has just scored another vital European Goal for us.
That is one thing people alway forget about Gerrard, his ability to save penalties.

I am happy. I'm not bickering, I'm clarifying an obvious oversight.

If Kuyt scored two goals and a penalty in an FA Cup final, which almost single-handedly won us the cup then i'm sure you'd see it that way, Stu.

Everybody knows that Reina made the saves etc, but Gerrard's contribution was immense which is the general point and you know that mate.

It's such an obvious oversight that it doesn't need mentioning because everyone knows it.

Re: Javier Mascherano

Second best performance from the chief in a redshirt tonight following his superhuman antics against the chavs last year.

He's a machine, a pocket battleship, a future Argie captain and I love him.
