Liverpool keen on Lokomotiv Moscow winger Odemwingie

LIVERPOOL are being linked with a summer swoop for Nigerian striker Osaze Odemwingie.

The forward has impressed many in the recent African Cup of Nations in Ghana,

According to reports on Brilafm.net, the Locomotiv Moscow striker could be making an £8 million pound move from Russia to Liverpool in the summer.

The site even goes so far as to claim scout Marc Guinness has been tasked with monitoring the player.

Andriy Voronin is the player tipped to leave if Odemwingie comes in.

Re: Liverpool keen on Lokomotiv Moscow winger Odemwingie

In the title he`s a winger...in the story he is a striker... What is he?

With that name he really should play on the wingie

Sounds like an agent talking up interest in the player.

Unfortunately for said agent, he chose to link his client to one of the few clubs that didn't scout the African Nations Cup. D'oh!

What a fucking boss name.

My only doubt is with his birth certificate. Whatever it says, you can probably add on another 10 years. All African players lie about their age.

Who could forget Daniel Amokachi, arriving at Everton as a 21 year old with grey hair. Toughest paper round in Africa.

As further evidence, here is Sulley Muntari, "24":

If Willie Mackay is his agent, he will end up at Portsmouth and Harry Redknapp will be able to build another extension on his property in Sandbanks, Dorset.

Re: Liverpool keen on Lokomotiv Moscow winger Odemwingie

I remember seeing in in one of the African cup games. Actually, he was on of the stand out players from the game I seen.

He's very nippy, I remember him giving the defender a 10yard head start and still beat him to the ball. As we all know, its best not to judge a player based on one performance though.

on that note, a lad i worked with in my old company arrived over here from Nigeria a year ago and was from the same village as Okocha and Kanu. He said that Kanu was playing in the local league for about 5 years before he moved (to ajax?). This league is for over 21s only so must have been 26 at least, but apparently moved as a teenager.

The lad himself had no firm idea of how old he actually was , but guessed it to be about 38.

Robben has progeria.

Are you trrying to suggest that there isn't a culture of corruption and lying in Africa, and that more African players than ANY OTHER NATIONALITY IN THE FUCKING WORLD have had question marks against the validity of their documentation, in particular their ages?
