Strikes me as an article written with the attention of getting lots of angry emails in response which she can use as bait against us at a later date...
"Look at the filthy emails these drunken animals have sent me. This is what Tom is up against"
I wouldn't give her the satisfaction to be honest.
That matters not one bit to us in England, it's only a PR exercise to try and protect The Rangers and Stars from getting any idea of beginning to protest against him, Hicks is on the back foot.

If the fans of the Rangers and the Stars were that arsed about it all they would have done something along time ago before it got that bad! Their either very stupid or just don't care.
Are we suppose to feel guilty for being clued up and pro-active?
Yes. And for drinking. For fuck's sake, we go in bars! We should be ashamed.

First things first, the drinking thing was a joke and I do feel bad that so many people were offended. In one of my trips to London, I watched a World Cup match with people in TSquare and everybody was joking about being drunk at 8 a.m. I thought it was very fun. Anywho ... I never said they were fantastic owners merely better at soccer than hockey and baseball.

What has London got to do with it?

What has London got to do with it?
To be fair, she probably doesn't know Liverpool is its own country...
Some Americans think Liverpool is in London, just two blocks away from Wales.

We speak the language that everybody understands. Instead of me saying somebody was avaricious, I'd say he was bloody greedy."
How much money is Mr Hicks paying you to spin off such garbage?
Perhaps in America, where the fashion is to Sue by Lawsuit whoever you can, it acceptable to Syphon what you can from Your Sporting Clubs. Here we care more about Our club than just the money.
Thats why i personally spend over £4000 a season following the team i Love. I understand that it's important for the Club to run as a business so it can earn revenue to keep it a float, pay players salary's & too compete. But when it's Greedy Owner(s) Who have a History of failure in other sporting Projects, who syphon what they can from the club for personal greed & who ultimately drag the team down, then i do find myself having a problem.
If Mr Hicks had kept his mouth shut (like the other co owner) then i can assure you that the under achieving team would have more points on the table than at present. Destabilising the club with his outbursts for whatever personal agendas he has does not do him or the team any favours at all.
When the New Owners first took over most of us loyal fans were prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt. Now Mr Hicks has put huge debt onto the club which he & Mr Gillette at first promised they would not & publicly humiliated the Manager, then there is no way back.
We all know what the Owners are about & yes we do not like it one little bit.
Perhaps this is because there is a huge difference to what is acceptable in American Sport & what is not acceptable in OUR sport here in England.
Do the Rangers or Stars have any kind of fansites/groups like we do? Maybe they should be trying to get some protests on the go at their games too. SOS could contact them and see if they'd be up for doing something.
If they follow our lead Hicks won't be welcome at any of his 'franchises'.
That summs up America's attitude to footy in general, they just don't get it and they don't want to get it. They all think we're mentally ill.
Yanks are so used to being abused these days that coming back with 'This is America - you're shit' is pretty much the response of choice.

Are American fans that militant though? I assumed it was just a kids and hotdogs fest most of the time, with an organ playing.

It is mate. Obviously there are hardcore sections of the fanbase who like mad and whacky things like 'winning', but for most its a take the family out for the day and enjoy the social occasion type of affair and work on their obesity levels, the nation of fat, complacent, fucks that they are.

Did I read somwhere that some clubs can just be 'moved' to another city or town without anyone batting an eyelid?!
I doubt we'll get any help from that side of the pond IMO.

yeah, its a money thing, the NFL is littered with such examples. Oakland to LA and back to Oakland. Art Modell upped the Cleveland Browns and made them the Baltimore Ravens most recently....alot of cities were crying out for a franchise, the money is there to be made. The fans of the city left in the lurch cry for a bit and the new franchise makes new money hand over fist. Baltimore got fucked over years ago when the Colts upped and fucked off to Indianapolis. There would be murder here if shit like that happened, the yanks, while protesting, just aren't as militant as we are, especially us lefty, self pitying Reds.
