Re: Both debts to be paid by club

I can't believe this! I honestly thought that we only had £100mil of debt on the club! Thanks Rash for your insider info otherwise I'd never have realised.

We havent even got funding for the stadium yet. That'll be another £300m loan. How the fuck are we going to pay that back too?

By selling season tickets 3 years in advance?

That said; didn't Arsenal pop up pretty high on one of those "richest clubs in the world" -lists recently? Or did I dream that?

If all goes down the drain what’s important is the assets the loan’s secured against.

Part of the loan is on the club. Club’s assets are players, real estate etc.

Another part is on KOP Holding, who’s assets are LFC, who again owns players … (in other words; same shit)

Small part is on the bastards. Their assets are KOP Holding but also other investments they have. The important thing for the slimy ones is to keep this part as little as possible, which they now have succeeded in doing.

The important thing here is that nothing's going to be achieved by sitting on our hands and waiting for the nice men at DIC to come and save us. It's our club - we either at least try and do something now, or we let it die.

I didn't believe that much like I didn't believe 'we haven't' meant 'we won't' or Rashs 'matter of days'.

It's probably a bad thing if you're a horse. You'll take her tonsils out while you're there.

And while the club is paying interest on a loan for the privilege of having the 2 cunts in charge, people are still starting 'Lets sign Thierry Henry' threads.....ace.

Re: Both debts to be paid by club

How much do we get through the current TV deal? I heard £30m banded about at the start of the season but I don't know if that is every season. If it is then that should cover the interest for a while. The money would obviously be better spent on other things but at least it won't result in us going bust. What happens when the deal is renegotiated though, and we don't get as much?

Re: Both debts to be paid by club

Did anyone seriously think the club wouldnt be paying off both loans? this will happen whether its G+H or DIC.

Once the stadium is up and running that will bring in an extra 25,000 paying fans each home game, plus possible naming rights. That increase in revenue should cover the interest payments on the stadium. I don't think most fans expected G+H to buy the club a brand new 71,000 stadium out of their own money - did they?

The problem is obviously the 2-3 years that the stadiums being built where we have the interest payments but not the increased revenue. Part of that can be covered by the new TV deal which will bring in approx 20 million more than we had last year but the obvious conclusion is that it will impinge on transfers.

It probably means Rafa will have to work with a slightly smaller squad and rely on players coming through the reserves and U18s for the time the stadiums being built but once the stadium is open it will more than pay for itself.

The winner of the league get's 50 million and you get a million less for every position you finish below that.

If we finish 4th we'll get about 46 million from the PL which is about the same as we earned from the league and CL combined in 06.

The TV money wont go down now it'll only increase, in fact it wont be long before individual clubs negotiate their own TV deals, and we are one of the few clubs that will benefit greatly when this happens.

I think this is the main reason Hicks in particular is keen to hold on, because he knows if the TV deal does change whereby clubs can negotiate their own deals that would be a huge increase in income for the club.
