Re: An Alternative Anfield Stadium
The AFL dsign is nowhere near the one we got. It looks like the Parry Bowl.

Whatever else you say about the twats, they IMO took the right decision on the stadium.

Re: An Alternative Anfield Stadium

This one would be easier to bunk in. Hicks' one is way to slippery to climb.

Think Dave said Hicks was the only one on the board who liked the one that was chosen

Then IMO I'm glad he decided on that, and whoever else was on that board should go get their Bad Eye AIDS sorted.

Stay at Anfield.

Re: An Alternative Anfield Stadium
in all honesty, i quite like the AFL one. It is a massive improvement on their first effort and would be nice. Thankfully its nowhere near as smart as the HKS one we are going with, but if the HKS one had never been proposed, i wouldnt have been too disappointed by that one.
Just goes to show how shit Mr Ritchie's efforts were though.

I like the new AFL one. Be happy with either of those.

Going on Hicks track record we will still be at Anfield for many more years yet.

Re: An Alternative Anfield Stadium
perfer the HKS stadium the AFL stadium is nothing short of tacky.
why's everyone saying the stadium wont get made, course it will get made there is no other way hicks is going to make a return on his original investment short of selling the club and whoever buys the club will definately build the stadium. that stadium is going to get built even if it bankrupts us in the process.

You might be right, but they don't have planning permission for the stadium yet and don't have the funds in place either.
I wouldn't bet on us moving any time soon.

Re: An Alternative Anfield Stadium
Fair play to Mr Ritchie for speaking up and putting forward an alternative. If he is touting for business then it is a bit cheeky. Also, I doubt he has been able to put the resources into his design to make it look as 'polished' as some of the others put forward, presumably becasue Mr Ritchie is doing his design off his own bat, so he won't go overboard and spend much money/time.
This is not my field at all, but based purely on what looks good to me, I like the efforts from HKS. I'll be very happy if we get a stadium like what was put forward recently. I hope the Kop is not broken up with exec boxes (was is a disabled viewing platform?), and I'd like to see the corners filled in a bit, but overall it looked very impressive.
Hopefully DIC will see it through once Hicks is gone!

Yes, but when you have to pay 100m for a WOW factor, and given the current situation, it makes you wonder how much the WOW factor is worth. Id be quite happy to save a load of debt and have a bowl now, if it meant no Yanks. IN fact, forget that, Id rather have MIskelly and Morgan in charge and a ground share if it meant no sell out, no huge debts and money to spend on players. If this episode has taught us anything, its that we can't have it all.
WOW factor or players for Rafa ? i knwo whats more important to me.

Looks like the Emirates, which is a fine stadium. And only 290m !
