"Dear London

Please find attached my new design for Big Ben. As you can see, we have taken the brief ("big clock called Ben") and put an exciting and modern slant on what we feel was a rather drab and old-fashioned landmark.

It's now DIGITAL!"

Double tier at the "Liverpool End". The other end looks odd because Cardiff rugby club refused to move out of their adjoining ground so the stadium had to be "bolted on" to the existing Arms Park structure.

Same here. They got it right with their stadium.

I think the HKS design would look at home in an industrial estate. I liked it at first but not so much now. I just hope it looks more spectacular when built.

It's easy to be cynical, but if nothing else this shows just how much people are pissed off about these owners, and how much effort people will go to just to show their frustration.

I know alot of what the lad said in his "assessment" of Hicks' stadium seemed like nonsense, but i honestly wouldn't be surprised if there are some quite serious flaws in the design- especially when it comes to acoustics, or even building materials etc..

Re: An Alternative Anfield Stadium

I like the possibility of it holding 90,000 with an entirely standing Kop. Fuck me, we'd have an atmosphere again if that were to happen (pipe dream) - not to mention cheaper ticket options, pay on the door and the chance to get tickets easily. A 90,000 Anfield with a standing Kop would be the most intimidating ground in the world. Fact. I love architecture, but I'd take that over aesthetics any fucking day of the week - not to mention getting it on the relative cheap, too.

It does look like the Millennium, but is that a bad thing?

Don't think we'll ever see it again Paul, even if we did get limited safe standing areas (which I'm very much in favour of), I doubt there will ever be a standing terrace that size again.

I think we all like the Millenium, Rob, but do we really want to replicate exactly their blueprints in Stanley Park?

...and more importantly, would Han let us?
