That may be his starting price, but he knows that he needs to sell sooner rather than later and won't want to be around when money needs to be invested for the stadium.

Re: Reds in refinancing blow
a) In the current state, with deadlines around the corner, the Americans are in a "forced sale" situation. This is not good for them as far as negotiating a better price goes.
b) Therefore they want to complete the refinancing first.
c) But then they will try to sell, from their new position of (slightly greater) strength as it will no longer be a "forced sale" scenario.
d) The refinancing however will cost £30m-ish in arrangement fees etc. So DIC will be trying to persuade them to sell now to avoid that increased debt.
three likely outcomes:
1) Americans give in and accept an offer to sell before refinancing outcome is known.
2) Americans fail to achieve refinancing. In which case they will be forced to sell for a lower price.
3) the most likely. Americans will get the refinancing, and will then sell.

Re: Reds in refinancing blow
Is it naive of me to think that the americans will pull this off because too many Liverpool-fans are occupied with complaining about Rafa and discussing his replacement?

Re: Reds in refinancing blow
they're putting £150m of debts on the club
they will have 190m debts with "kop football"
they need a further 250m mimimum (assuming no cost overruns) to fund the stadium, average overrun of construction projects in Britain is over 30%
when they next have to refinance, they will find it difficult as the banks will want to see them put up more collatoral and we'd be in a potentially perilous position anyway even with the 160m debt on the club
how are they going to pay off the loans on kop football?
how will they pay off another £300m in loans? I doubt it's even possible, with all the debt and interest accruing at the current rate, your looking at 600-700m in debt, that's just impossible to sustain

Re: Reds in refinancing blow
Yet another day goes by without this refinancing, they're so full of shit. They're not going to get it. Keep the pressure on and we'll be rid of these cunts soon.

Re: Reds in refinancing blow
I fully expect the Yank bastards to annouce the refinancing has been approved tomorrow, at the same time (with the intent of buttering us up) they will announce that the new stadium will get up and running.
Then they will expect to be welcomed at Anfield on the night of the Inter Milan game as heroes.
Get to fuck you Yank cunts...the only people you'll sweeten up are jester hatted whoppers from places like Bristol. You've lied to us and betrayed us...we will not rest until you've fucked off out of OUR club.

Think your wrong there mate they won't have any problem they could lump the lot together and use ticket sales as the incentive we are a cash cow resession proof the bancks would be lining up at that point then you have the naming rights etc that will bring in about half the costs of the stadium build and there will be new kit and team sponsers by then also
That is the reason these people want us in the first place

Re: Reds in refinancing blow
The thing is if these fuckers are going to just load the debt on the club
We would have been better taking the club over doing the same thing?
At least we would be in debt but owned by people who really love the club and would do all they could to win and keep its heart alive

Moores should of gotten rid of Parry and brought in a CEO who could do everything Bob mentioned.
The biggest kit, sponsor deals and merchandise. We are a cash cow and if only they had done it we wouldnt be in this mess.
Look at the new ground, we all hate the idea of a name of a multi national but if it was 200m for twenty years there is the ground built, or atleast most of it.
