We could have had him for £7m two years ago. Never mind eh? we got Craig Bellamy instead.

Re: Podolski

Podolski is class and if he's available for shy of £10m we should be in there.

Class my ass... The only teams he has been decent for is Germany, and that's because they have a special role for him. He's been utterly crap for Bayern and has a reputation of being thick amongst the Bundesliga fans.

Is that not what we said about Berbatov?

I think Podolskis one of the better strikers availible this summer. If the price was right he would be a good addition. Am I right in saying hes been operating in an attacking left position at times for Bayern?

I know that but we said the exact same thing. Not good enough etc.

I dont think anyone could give Podolski a fair assessment unless they have seen him play regularly. He looks a very good player in the 10-15 games Ive seen of him throughout his career but thats nowhere near enough to make a fair assessment.

At least half of that was in Bundesliga 2. He had a very good first season in the Bundesliga, though Kohn was relegated. That earned him a berth in the Mannshaft and a big money move to Bayern, for whom he's been a huge disappointment.

Is that not also what the fans here think of Rooney?

Yes, Bayern fans saw him regularly and they thought he was gash. He's been there 2-3 seasons.

So?

Anyone here think the current Rooney is worth 15 mils, let alone 27?

So has Totti amongst Serie A fans, but I would gladly have accepted him when he was 23

Footballers live inside a balloon, so when they talk things outside of that world, the majority of them sound like utter retarded. Have you ever heard Maradona talking about current events? :-) Totti is like that. He also has a big mouth and like to gob off.
