The people who are talking about that are in the vast minority though. The vast majority of us are in survival mode.
To want DIC as the new owners is completely logical. We feel like we actually KNOW the club is screwed with Hicks and Gillet but there is only a chance the club is screwed with DIC so it's a perfectly logical stance to want DIC to buy us.
Its like playing russian roulette. If there's 2 guns; one has 9 bullets in (yanks), one has 6. Which one do you take?
To me there's just no argument whatsoever for anyone who says they don't want DIC in. Unless they know something the rest of us don't.

Re: DUBAI TO MAKE BID
I wouldnt care if we spend a lot as long as we are not overpaying. Wealth plays a major in wether you will be successful or not all the time. Right now we are just like a 3rd world country ( probably better a little bit ) in terms of wealth.

I don't want DIC because I t6hink we will go on a mad spending spree with them, I want them because their wealth means stability and im sure we will have a generous transfer kitty also even if it's not Chelsea/Manu proportions.

Re: DUBAI TO MAKE BID
DIC wont spend money like Abramovich like VV said and they will want a return for any investment they do but i have no problem with that at all as long as we are been run in a way to allow this.
DIC have the wealth to start building the stadium asap so there is the vital extra income there. They should also have the vital business knowledge to know we are falling way short of our potential regards marketing and promoting the club around the world.
You also have the constant increase in TV money that Liverpool get so as you can see its not difficult for DIC to make money on us as well as us getting the Stadium we crave.
I would be amazed if DIC didnt splash the Dubai name all over the new ground as Liverpool Football Club would be their flagship leisure enterprise and as such it would look better for them for us to be in a big shiny new stadium with a winning team.
As regards the 7 year exit plan this was strongly denied by DIC and last i heard regards that matter was Ansari was contemplating court action.

is the right answer, and im sure 99.9% of us who would like them to take over want them for that reason.

From what I recall they did not deny the existence of a document, just that the contents had been misrepresented.

I saw it quoted at somewhere between 6 and 7 million the other day.

My point entirely Stevie. Arsenal are the club we should hold up as an example. We need to get far better at spending the money we do have. Our best players of the last 15 years all came through the academy, Torres and Reina apart.
*Soccerbase have Adebayor as costing £7m

are we not trying to do that though, has rafa not completely reshaped our youth set up?
wenger is in a league of his own as far as finding unknown talent but at the same time they have youth players who cost 6/7/8 million.
thats a hell of a lot of money to spend on a youth player,so even though they can pick up the odd bargain(4 players is hardly a good point to base your argument on)they still go out and spend mega bucks when need be,just like everyone else.
should really start another thread for this discussion because its kinda taking this thread off course.
