Re: Man of the match...Chelsea - Away - CC

The following is based entirely on what happened before the goal/sending-off twin horrors....

1 - Xabi (a class apart from anyone on the pitch)
2 - Babel (dangerous)
3 - Momo (best game I've seen from him all season)

Special commendation to Itandje, but I'm loath to nominate a keeper for MOM, as that implies we were on the ropes.

1. Xabi by a mile
2. Babel, let us see him play a full match, please
3. Itandje. Looks like a very good keeper indeed

First half: Lucas was good, faded in the second half though.

Actually we played quite well until the ref decided to end the match.

Re: Man of the match...Chelsea - Away - CC

1. Sissoko. By a CONSIDERABLE distance. Thought he was outstnding tonight in every way. Best game he's had in ages. I think now that xabi is back, we might see more of him alongseide xabi (Gerrard might get relegated to the right again).

2. Itandje. Busy all night, never put a foot (hand) wrong. Unlucky for the first goal - I think criticism for the second would be harsh, it was a very good shot.

3. Close this one, but Arbeloa for me.

Special mentions for effort: Lucas, who worked hard but made too many errors for me and gave away too many fouls, and Crouch - who also gave of his best but playing him in the Torres role, on the shoulder of the last defender waiting for a through pass, just shows up his lack of pace.

Alonso also had a great game and just misses out on my top 3.
