Luka Modric

The best player on the pitch last night. Uttely outstanding performance.

He's supposedly available for £3.5m and Chelsea and Arsenal are battling it out for his signature.

Its puts the prices being paid for the likes of Carrick and Hargreaves into perspective doesn't it? Especially considering all of this anti-foreign bullshit that the media have been peddling recently. An average english player can go for upwards of £15m but Croatia's best player is available for less than a 1/3 of that.

Re: Luka Modric

He looked excellent.

I'm sure I read that he was going for a massive fee though? If Arsenal paid out so much money for that Eduardo then surely Modric should be getting touted about for in excess of £15 million.

Re: Luka Modric

He's the new Igor Biscan apparently.

Speaking of whom, did a bit of research on what he's up to now:

Bišćan joined Greek side Panathinaikos in July 2005 after he was released by Liverpool. He left Panathinaikos after two years and is currently training with Paris Saint Germain.

Speaking of Igor, how much would it have ruled if he'd have been on the bench for Croatia last night, and come on as sub in the last minute. Igor Biscan, is a giant of a man...
