Who'd have thought so many people would jump on the 'Dirk is rubbish' bandwagon. Shame he hasnt a spanish name. Dirko Kuyto would be the greatest signing.
Its sad . . . .
It's not proof, just a snap shot of how he's performing this season. He hasn't played the last two games since that list was compiled so will slip further down, but he's not shit.

And having a Spanish name didn't help Josemi much.

Y'see, I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt in that post, but really, deep down, I know you're not stupid. Unfortunately, that means you were deliberately misrepresenting what I said, and therefore being a prick.

Alright Owen. You deliberately misrepresented what I said about Kuyt finding his level in a mid or lower table club. You, by the same measurement criteria, were being a prick. But you know what, it's Friday, and I've only got a bit of work left to do before I can cast off the shackles. So I'm not going to go on about it.

On another subject....what's your thoughts about England? Do you want them to get knocked out this weekend? (It's not a loaded question btw)

Crouch is easily better than kuyt. Kuyt may run round the pitch more but crouch has a better first touch, leads the line better and more likely to score than kuyt.

Crouch's first touch isn't exactly fantastic. He is better at bringing the ball under his control quickly though... but Crouch's first touch is pretty irratic as well.

I think, and though I'm a Crouch-basher somestimes this isn;t meant to be a dig, that somestimes Crouch's touch looks better than it is because you kinda 'expect' his touch to be poor. As in 'not a bad touch for a big fella'. I'm not quite sure what I'm trying to say here, and I don't know why I made the same typo twice on somestimes.

I am Peter Crouch's height(well an inch shorter) so when I watch him play I understand the space ratios and stuff. He'll often take down a pass and 'lose' it but gain it back VERY quickly. One step for him isn't the same as one step for Gerrard and Crouch's one step to collect the ball would be two steps for Gerrard.

This is why I'm not very impressed with his touch but I find his ability to regain the ball pretty great. It doesn't help when hes being double guarded or is in tight quarters though. He doesn't have a tendancy to lose the ball in his feet but he doesn't exactly keep it on a string, either.

Except you did. I'm not going to apologise for pulling people up on giving our players unfair stick.

Re: KUYT - I`VE BEEN TOP PERFORMER

Jesus wept. There was nothing unfair about it.

If you think Kuyt would be transferred from Liverpool to Arsenal, United or Chelsea you'd be wrong. If he stays in the prem, he'll go to a mid or lower table team. You were the one who mentioned the bottom of the table team, not me. You were just trying to misrepresent what I'd said.

He wouldn't be transferred to one of them because their managers wouldn't want that type of player. You're getting confused between players you like and players that are good. Different things.

I'm not trying to misrepresent what you said, just sticking up for a player who is getting undeserved stick.

Re: KUYT - I`VE BEEN TOP PERFORMER

Let's not forget that if top-of-the-table clubs got rid of workhorse players who weren't up to scratch or perceived as being good enough for the team by the fans on a regular basis without giving them a chance, then Jamie Carragher would have left the club long, long ago. And Arsenal, Chelsea and United wouldn't touch him with a bargepole (they probably still wouldn't. Carra's market value would rpobably only be a few mill if we wanted to sell him, heaven forbid)

Re: KUYT - I`VE BEEN TOP PERFORMER

I'm not being confused. You're being slightly disingenuous for the reasons Kuyt wouldn't be signed by the other clubs. If he was as good as you believe he is, he'd be sought by everyone. Good players are accommodated, and good players can adapt to any system. Check out Tevez at United.

Again, you're getting my opinion of Kuyt confused with stick. I'm not giving him any. I think his attitude is a credit to the club.
