Re: Torres

That was stunning. Any doubts I had about him are gone after that. I loved the way he just kept getting up whenever they fouled him, and he just got more and more determined.

Balls like grapefruits that lad. The downside is having to listen to Rashid giving it the I told you so's, but thats a small price to pay I guess.

At the risk of being called a smart arse, Dixie Dean scored 9 league hat-tricks in one season.

Re: Torres

one thing that made me laugh was Stelling going on about him not starting against brum, if anyone should be happy he never started that game it should be sky.. an entertaining game for a 3rd round carling cup tie and they had it live

unfortunately this is the reason for all those weird kick off times

There used to be a bar on London Road were you can go to sing his praises. Been pissed and dangerous in there many a regretful time. What is your point?

Re: Torres

Yeah but everyone knows that half of Dean's goals came through bundling the keeper in the net after he'd caught a cross. You of all people should know that Hermes, you probably saw a fair few of them live.

Re: Torres

(Dean) Owen and Hunt are on the list because they scored goals.
A hatrick 1 or 2 or 3 is indicitive of a goal scorer. We have not had one for a while and now we have one. Hooraah

Re: Torres

What I cannot understand though is that the boss must see this in training and must be impressed by torres yet benches him.
Having said that the league is a long competition.

Exactly. I could adopt the "I told you so" attitude if I banged the drum for every flavour of the month star, one of whom strikes gold once in a blue moon. Obviously Torres is no Jaoquin, though...
