A lot of premier league keepers use the spines by the way so there must be something in it.

Sponsorship deals and the like where they are obliged to wear them, also, the pairs that the pro's get are custome made to thier hand, and that is key.
The gloves we buy are "off the peg", you are a size and that is it.
Your hands need to be snug to the glove otherwise you are going to get at some point the possibilty of the three elements (finger, spine and ball) working in 3 different directions, this is where breaks can occur.
Your going to have to trust my opinion on this, as it's something I've experienced myself and others plenty of times.
If you can get a pair that are "very" snug, then it's a risk you might want to take, but personally i'd think about getting a pair if Adidas Fingertip E6S or a pair of Sells.

You should get one specially made for your face. You save more shots with that than your hands anyway

Ok cheers, I'll see how these ones fit that I've ordered and if they aren't right I'll send them back and get one of the ones you suggest. Have just been using cheapo ones until I did this because I don't play at a high level. It was a bit of a freak save anyway, I basically pushed a hard long range shot past the post with the tip of my little finger.

Always the first to break, but imagine that the spine was a little longer than your finger and that took the impact of the ball, pushing the spine down into your knuckle and at an angle to you finger, thats exactly how these things happen.

Hairband in your way bitch?
Saved with my left hand, about 2ft from my face.
You could always put it to the those that witnessed it.
If it is indeed the save i'm thinking about.
Have to admit though, my arse did wibble a bit when I dived headfirst at DT's feet.

Ouch. I'll have to see how they are, they'd have to be shorter than my fingers and tight to the back of them by the sound of it.

Hairband had a shocker last night. Of course, he rarely had chances when I was marking him.

it wasnt a long range shot. it was when i did keepy-ups past two players (nani style) and then hit a weak shot from close in that hit both posts and may or may not have been going in, but you made sure of it. rightly so. you played well last night.
if our team had confidence from the start we would have won i think. it took us 20 mins getting started.
only one long range shot from me last night i think which is unusual for me. but then again andy was in my team so i couldnt nut-meg him from 25 yards.

Re: tlw footy tonight...
Woohoo!! Rog is lurking. Is he going to post and tell us how he'll be gracing us with his presence, or will he just flirt with me a little and make a suggestive comment. Either way, jobs a good un.
