Re: tlw footy tonight...
I'm glad that Platini took the time out of his hectic schedule to see what grass roots footy (on astroturf) is all about.

Re: tlw footy tonight...
Much as I hate to agree with Nick Leeson, he's right. I wasn't at the races last night at all. I just couldn't find any space to play in, we were getting twatted and I went missing.
Dr Troy spared us from the mother of all beatings, he was lethal. That was the least enjoyable game I've ever played in.

Re: tlw footy tonight...
Cheers, Wasn't the best game last night. Very lobsided sides. I think we had too many attacking players.
Goal of the game for me was Ted's little dink/chip type thingy he did. Fair play, outstanding technique.
I reckon we should get next weeks free or something for the wankers not putting the lights on..

i agree with Matt. It was a great goal. And that was the best I've played in months. John G was fuckin terrific too, as was Al.

Really enjoyed last night and I needed to as I wont be playing next week so I wanted an enjoyable game. It is weird I am noticing that the team who hits towards the end where lance was keeping net last night always seem to win has anybody else noticed it or is it just me.
Thought all on our team were good. Gaz was solid, Andy made some great saves, Al always seems to have time on the ball, Ted is like a wasp buzzing around everywhere and the new lad Phil should some neat touces at times and some of Darrys finishing was top class.
Rob played really well for the other team before understanbly tiring late on and was my pick for them altohugh Mick improved as the game went on I thought.

It's because I always occupy the opposite goal

Too right I was tired John, played before at Bootle my lungs were on fire with about 15 minutes to go and I kept asking everyone the time (Ted reckons if you play at Bootle Stadium more than twice you turn into a cripple due to the hardest astroturf known to man).
Ezekiel is deceptively skilful, plus he's hard to knock off the ball or tackle as he shields it pretty well. Thought he had a really good game last night. Really enjoy our games and they have improved standardwise a lot since January.
Is anyone up for TLW footy team night out later on in the year?

Re: tlw footy tonight...
I'd be up for a team night out, quiet surprised that beer has never been mentioned before. As we finish about 10pm, so ideal time for a swift pint and post game analysis.
We also need to sort this Bolton game out

Re: tlw footy tonight...
Be honest lads, youse missed a cool head in what sounded like a heated game . Havent half missed the footy though, over here I was sick after 10 minutes of playing in the 42 degree heat, it might have been the ale the night before, but I doubt it, deffo the heat. We got beat in the final by the local greek team, they got 400 fucking euros for winning the gane.
If someone could be so kind as to drop me a PM letting me know whats happened in the wonderful world of football, I will be forever in your debt (or just until next week).
