Charlie Barnett has not been released(well he had not 3 hours ago anyway).
He is looking and wanting to go out on loan. Can't speak for Jimmy Ryan.

Charlie Barnett is a monster, and will rule the midfield one day.

Jimmy Ryan played against our reserves on friday at the Academy. He is on trial at Chester.
Do you people not read the main site?

But if he does well there, he'll only join them on a one year loan (initially at least).
That's if their local press is to be believed....

As usual, there's no flies on you! I've heard we have a few more foreign youngsters coming in (to the reserve set up I think), you heard anything?

Re: apparently some 3rd year academy players have been released
One of the lads over on YNWA whose mate works at the academy said a couple of months ago that we would be bringing in a higher class of young player this summer, players with a much higher chance of making the first team. On reputation alone, I think only Nemeth and Pacheco could be described like that so you'd assume those coming in will be "probably will make it" players rather than "possibly will make it" players like Roque, Antwi and El Zhar

Mark Smyth has turned up in Malta for a trial. Remember him from that League Cup game against Spurs: he was reasonably good on that day.

Cant remember seeing it mentioned here, but apparantly Paul Barratt is on trial at Coventry City

Re: apparently some 3rd year academy players have been released
from swans online
Liverpools Whizz Winger
On loan winger from Liverpool - Paul Anderson, believes his super speed will be just the ticket when the new football season starts on August 11th.
Anderson's natural pace has given Swansea manager Roberto Martinez extra options in midfield and could be the key to success in his hunt for promotion to the Championship.
Like Martinez, Anderson is also a fan of floor based football rather than the route one approach of Martinez's predecessor - Kenny Jacket.
Paul Anderson said:
"I was definitely up there with the fastest. Not many would beat me in a sprint; Craig Bellamy was probably faster and Mark Gonzales."
"When I was 13 I could do the 100m in 12 seconds – I’m not sure what time I could do now, but I know I’m faster."
"And I’ve seen the massive pitch at the Liberty, which will suit my speed greatly – but I’d like to think there’s more to my game than just pace."
"I’ve got every hope of making it at Liverpool. I’m still only 18 but to make the break- through at a club like Liverpool you need to be ready for that step up."
"I’ve been playing reserve football and it’s not a bad standard when you come up against international players."
"But Rafa and I both wanted this move to happen – the club wouldn’t allow it last year, but when Swansea came in last month it was the right time."
"After the deal went through a lot of people mentioned the Spanish connection to me."
"I think some of the younger Spanish lads know the gaffer and there’s definitely the same philosophy at the clubs."
"Rafa and Roberto have got the same ideas for football and that’s why this move probably happened."
"They both want to get the ball on the floor and play it and it suits the players they have. They’re very similar in that sense."
"I’ve certainly not given up on making it and that’s why I want to do well at Swansea and give myself that chance."

He's got a really cringeworthy myspace page. Other than that I haven't heard anything about him for a while either!

I'd say him, Amoo, Pourvie and a couple of the other new lads will be at the academy.

He's younger than what's been reported (by the press), so he'll probably join the academy.
