Jimmy Ryan and Jay Smith both on trial at Bury

http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/sp...g_for_gigg.php

didnt realise jimmy had left liverpool, thought he was kept on as a third year??
also Ste Vaughan who was at the academy and played for chester moved to boston united in january but has left the club after them being relegated twice for some reason! they were relegated from league 2 to the conference but they have done something wrong or something so have been double relegated and are now left with 3 first team players!!!

It doesnt say whether they're on loan or not.

Ryan was given a third year but he's probably thinking longer term that if all the others went in year 2 then he may not be at the top of the academy list - also given the other arrivals so he'll be giving other things a go

And isnt Jay Smith a free agent having had a pay off from us

yeah thats what i mean, it doesn't say anything about loan so im assuming they're on trial! yeah jay smith got paid off i heard which i don't blame him, bringing in Insua was the final straw i think for him so with Ryan, yeh he probably is thinking long term, theres no way he's going to make the first team so may as well look elsewhere, just thought they could have tried for a better club than league 2 Bury but never mind!

Given that so many of our kids end up either out of the game or even further down the football pyramid Bury is quite a good start for him
would save upping sticks as well

Reading the title, I swear I thought this was "on trial" as in "on trial", but it isn't.

It's only talk about a loan deal for Ryan (if he does well on the trial), or at least that's what their local press wrote last week.
