Setanta on Freeview
I've just noticed my setanta sports channel has come on.

Has anyone elses? is this the same channel that is showing some games next season?

Or does anyone know any news if it's supposed to be free as part of the 'increased competiton' for premiership games? I always thought it was supposed to be subscription.

Mine has as well, supposedly it will be about a tenner a month but you need a freeview with a card slot, sky or one of those new Bt boxes

We bought Setanta about 2 months ago so I hope it hasn't come free all of a sudden.

And yes, it will be showing a lot of premiership games next season.

Can you not get Setanta 1, Setanta 2, Setanta Ireland, Setanta Golf, Celtic TV, Rangers TV and The Racing Channel aswell?

They are all close to eachother on sky.

Setanta is a subscription channel. If any are currently free to air, I'd suggest this is a 'tempter' to get people to sign up for when you have to pay to continue watching.

Setanta only won one batch of the PL games with the rest going to sly tv. Incidentally, I heard sly or the PL had dropped the PPV channel from the coming season.

Yeah Sky have binned the PPV games, Setanta wont be selling the games seperate either like Sky used to do.

I used to have the season ticket cos ill watch anyone who's on and I wouldnt mind a one off payment for Setanta but I dont think they are offering it so they can bog off it they think ill give them a tenner a month although I have to admit im sorely tempted.

Monthly wont work, one off like the Sky season ticket would see more numbers in my opinion.
