Platini says Liverpool fans not worst behaved

[-] Text [+] BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Liverpool fans are not the worst behaved in Europe, UEFA president Michel Platini said on Tuesday.
Platini, contradicting statements attributed to UEFA officials last week, told Reuters: "No they are not, it's official, they are not the worst behaved in Europe."
Platini was speaking after a meeting with Minister for Sport Richard Caborn during which he handed over a report into security problems at last month's Champions League final between Liverpool and AC Milan.
UEFA had blamed Liverpool fans for causing the majority of the problems before the match, alleging that hundreds of English fans who had no tickets or forged tickets forced their way into the Olympic Stadium in Athens.
An official said Liverpool fans had been involved in 25 incidents at away matches in the last four years making them the worst behaved among followers of clubs in European competition.

Yeah, shocking to see a Frenchman retreat from his original position.

Rte on one of their other pages are saying that Bayern have practically signed Ribery, Toni, Jansen and are bringing Ze Roberto back to Germany.
They'll be a force in the Champions League next year.

Re: The LAtest from the Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey
He dislikes us and Its no suprise that the man from UEFA said what he said, its like the Tories who used to come out with anti-german rhetoric cos they had heard Maggie say it behind closed doors.

But as the thread yesterday explained, neither Twatini nor Gaylord actually said we were, it was eh News of the world and then everyone else picked up on it.

Re: The LAtest from the Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey
Gaillord never says what he's meant to say. He said we'd not be allowed into the CL after Istanbul, that it wouldn't even be considered to allow 5 teams in etc. As he was saying that his boss at the time (Lenny?) was saying, "Oh we'll have a look at it when we next meet up".
Willy Gaylord should be sacked, he stirs up shit, he gives his own opinions rather than the opinions of the organisation he represents.
