Re: Voronin Vs Malouda

I actually quite like the look of Voronin now. He's not going to score loads of goals, but in certain games his intelligent running and workrate could be very useful.

Re: Voronin Vs Malouda

The commentators were praising Voronin - both saying that Liverpool had signed a good player and with his pace and strength should be able to adjust to the Premiership.

Re: Voronin Vs Malouda

I think we can safely say both Malouda at £13M and Voronin on a FREE have been disasters.

Voronin was a free though so sell him in the summer and make a profit.

Re: Voronin Vs Malouda

Barce also paid £10m for Abidal!!

£23m could have been saved by Chelsea and Barce by following a proper policy

can you imagine if we spent £23m on those two players? there would have been uproar. Ged probably would have thought it was a good deal... goes to show you, there's a fine line between success and very costly failure in the transfer market.

Re: Voronin Vs Malouda

la la la... Voronin wouldn't be the first player to not adjust to the Premiership OR England.

He's a lot better than the abuse leveled at him and threads like this really show it.

I don't think he is, all the time he is miscontrolling, fluffing chances and making wayward passes he's simply not good enough for us.

There was one time in that match were I really was flabbergasted. Simple pass inside to Mascherano, plenty of space and time, passes straight to a City player. He's also a stroppy cunt and I can't be doing with that.

Oh, I didn't say hes good enough for us. I don't think he'll ever adjust to England, let alone the Premiership.

Whereas Bayern Munich signed the 31 year old Luca Toni.... who proceeded to score 32 goals this season. Hey now! Is this a special clause in the policy? If he'd been 21, would Bayern have got into the final of the UEFA cup though? Did Toni's ageing legs give up on him two games from the end of the season? Ah, the policy got it right after all....
