To be fair, on current playing evidence he deserves more of a future with the club than Gonzalez. I'd certainly keep him as back up for next season at the very least.

You haven't made the England team despite being one of only about 3 English right wingers in the Premiership. Even when they dropped Beckham they selected someone who's hardly played football for two seasons ahead of you. Does the £30k a week make up for being a failure?
