Have we progressed from last season?

I personally think we have, of course we still lack enough quality to win the league but some of the performances at Anfield this season have been the most enjoyable i've witnessed in many years (excluding pompy and last nights debacle!). Our general play has improved and i'm fairly sure that we have scored more goals than at this stage last season (need to check that though). Our signings have improved us, but not to the extent that was needed for a title challenge, if anything they have simply added a better balance to the squad, but whats balance when you still dont have enough quality (Pennant!).

People were starting to compare this season to the infamous 2002/03 season, which is understandable, but it's not even slightly as bad as what happened then (remember the 10 match streak of no wins, that was as bad as it gets!). Even if you dont think we have progressed, you must at least feel that we have sustained our form of last season.

Nearly there, but not quite!
