In the car at about 7.05am the sports fella on '5 Live' said that in the next hour they would be discussing "Is Thierry Henry about to sign for Liverpool?"

Did anyone hear the discussion about him 'cos I hadn't heard it by 7.25am?

Notwithstanding that the media usually talk shite, wouldn't you just slobber over this if it really happened...?

Tbh, I don't think Hnery turned down Barca so much as he burned a very big bridge to them with his behaviour in the CL final. He was petulent and arrogant, and looked like he seriously pissed them off. Especially with what he said about them after the game- made any smooth transfer to them nigh on impossible.
As for the rumour mill, I always enjoy hearing the shite that the press/media come up with- my mate said he heard that Beckham would sign when the Dubai takeover goes through. Crazy.

I'd love to see Henry at Anfield. But I seriously doubt that will happen.

I agree and think that if it wasn't for the champions league final he'd be a Barca player now, but the way the game went and his outburst after the match maybe put the kaibosh on that. Henry would be immense in Spain with the way they play and can you imagine that Barca team with him, Messi, Ronaldinho, Eto, Xabi, Iniesta, bet he regrets it now.

People like Eto'o, Messi and Ronaldinho may limit his playing time?, especially Ronny and Eto'o unless one of them were offski. Not into this bullshit about him coming to us but it could be one of the reasons why he didn't go to Spain.
