Not if they don't know what they are talking about.

Re: Should women be allowed to write about football?

They can if they Write decent stuuf. I can't understand all this hostility towards our buyout. If we don't do it some one else will. Man Utd and arsenal where already ahead of us in money terms with the Chavs in Two seasons (well technically 1) doing the same. what would you rather have, us with money or another club doin the same as Chelsea. We had too do this. As for the sole of the club being sold and football dying Get a grip. Its the fans that put the sole into their clubs and none more so than Our fans. So what if its not owned by Familiar face's as long as he keeps his nose out of the Manager's buisness and starts buyin the Lamps for Raf, Im all for it.

Re: Should women be allowed to write about football?

The thing is Man United had their chance to be bought out, and they went to Glazier, Arsenal had their chance and they sold their naming rights and debted themselves to the nose. You takes your choice.... depends what you want.

How the fuck does that have anything to do with Marina Hyde writing a (fairly decent) article about footballing takeovers?

You're a dinosaur rasher. Too busy worrying about your prada labelled clothing and your various prejudices to see that intellectually this chick writing for the guardian leaves you for dead.

Re: Should women be allowed to write about football?

No problem with Women Writing, watching, following, playing football, as long as they know what their doin. Momoisabeasts mum Is more Knowledgable on Liverpool and Football in general then most men I know. and Like its been said it also applies too men. Wghat I do have a problem with is Journalists all jumping on a bandwagon too sell papers. FFS man City are getting Bought out do we wanna be Behind them in money terms as well? Cos I know I dont.

She compares Murdoch favouribly with the Sheikh, her article is riddled with innacuracies, and to suggest that the Monopolies Commission didn't allow BSkyB to takeover United because their Managing Director didn't know Dennis Irwin is an absolute joke.

Re: Should women be allowed to write about football?

This woman has written a piece that dares criticise the Dubai human rights record and now we're talking about women not being allowed to write about football?

I hope it's a joke, because it isn't funny.

She's only saying what needs to be said so gloryhunters with ££ signs in their eyes stop and think before they imagine what Rafa will spend the fortune on. Is this a person and/or company we really want to associate ourselves with?

Rick Parry spoke at the last AGM about the need to introduce a club charter on what kind of companies we dealt with, to ensure we didn't encourage child labour and unnecessary pollution etc. but now it seems we're getting taken over by a country who a) don't like jews, b) don't really like women, and c) employs child workers. I'm guessing, just guessing mind, that progress on the aforementioned club charter has been slow since then.

Can people please come back to the real world from FM2007 mode. If Abramovich's money is dodgy, what is this guy's?

Re: Should women be allowed to write about football?

DT - We live in a country that has presided over the killing of many Muslims in the Middle East (Iraq). People might say we don't like Muslims. Developing countries maybe catch up later than us, so of course what we did years ago people are catching up now. Im England we once had child labouring... it still goes on in most parts of the under-developed world. Not saying it is right..

Ergo ban women from writing about football.

If it's a joke it's not funny, if it's serious you need help.

Re: Should women be allowed to write about football?

I agree with DT there about the Child labour stuff, but as for the Not liking woman and Jews, has it not always been like that? is it his fault? where they not laid down as law or tradition whatever by people before he was even a sparkle in his dads eye? and his money is comin from buisness last Time I checked no children where Flying His planes. Its purely a money making buisness he's sees us as hence why Parry is still theer as is mores itll be the same people just the money comes from elsewhere. Can we at least hold Judgement till he's been here a season or two?
