Well, I'm now thinking I might pop down to Cardiff myself for a night out - it sounds so much more civilised than Manchester from the exchanges in that story. I mean, all this "excuse me, old chap..." and "could I possibly..?".
People more cynical than myself would probably think that these two slappers saw outrageously wealthy footballer and happily married family man Craig Bellamy in a club and thought "Wow, I didn't know the gravy train stopped here".
Bellamy possibly thought "Oh no, not more fat, orange, gold-digging whores - all I wanted was a couple of pints with the lads", the two fair ladies of Cardiff took umbrage at Craig's inability to see past their fake tan and fake tits ("
Miss Palmer suffered... ...a reopening of scarring on her breast") to the beautiful, innocent flower of Welsh womanhood budding within and a fracas subsequently ensued.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall these two ladies being members of the international glitterati. They were however "walking along a narrow corridor to the champagne VIP bar" at the time of the incident. I have been known to frequent nightclubs on occasion, especially since one of my best mates is a bar manager and in my extensive experience VIP areas are usually filled with two kinds of people - VIPs and people who want to shag them.
Having said that, Miss Palmer did say "He grabbed me with both hands
around the neck and held me up against the wall and he was squeezing." Has anyone considered the possibility that he was just curious to know what a neck felt like?

BTW, since I couldn't log on the day after the server move I should take this opportunity to say "good work" to all involved. Canny decision to go for the software update at the same time - it's made some nice visible tweaks for us forumites to go with the technical improvements behind the scenes. I like it.
