The Irony of some people calling for Gerrard to play in the centre when its the ineptertude of players like Pennant and Gonzalez that mean Gerrard has to play on the right.

I thought Gerrard played well in the centre but both wings were woeful yesterday and until we get world class players for those positions then Gerrard will continue to play on the right.

Pennant was a big fish in a small pond at Brum and isnt good enough for a premiership winning LFC team. In Hindsight

Warnocks not let us down this season lad, I rate him.... Gonzalez is not good enough yet, I think Rafa should give him a run of games in the ressies... his crossing yesterday was woeful.

I think Warnock's been much improved this season when he's got his game, and he certainly likes a tackle. Can't question the lads commitment. Might wake Riise up as well if he got a few more run-outs. JAR is suffering from a lack of competition if you ask me. Been seriously poor this season defensively speaking.

the league is over, what's the point of playing him in the ressies? let him learn in the first team.

warnock is a commited player, but his positioning is atrocious and distrubition of the ball bordering on disastrous, unless it's a big welly upfield.

i don't think riise is anything special, and would rather give aurelio a run of games, but i'm not sure it's the best idea to be tinkering with another position in the defence at this stage.

His positioning has looked a lot better this season. Dunno what you think is so great about JAR's distribution that makes him a shoo-in for the spot either. Give Warnock a couple of games is all I'm saying. Otherwise we might as well have swapped him for Lucas Neil.

But he kept trying, and eventually put in the one for Crouch's header which Woodgate cleared off the line. He could have said fuck it and given up, and instead tried to beat his man when the cross was the better option. I liked his attitude yesterday, Pennant should take a leaf out of his book.

I agree, he was poor but he did keep plugging away. If his crossing had been better we'd probably be saying how well he played. His crossing was dire though, which spoiled anything else he may have done well.
