Didn't watch all the world cup but he did look a decent player & not a dirty twat. When he's back in the prem against less cultured opposition he's back to diving in & taking the man. If the difference is in the coaching, ie a quality manager like Hiddink versus 'Sparkeh' then we could be onto a winner.

Kromkamp needs to leave while his 'better player than Josemi' tag is still intact

I have never liked Neill and I'd rather we kept Kromkamp to be honest. Seems like Rafa is intent on buying the most unpleasant characters in the EPL!

If you look at his Valencia team there was some quite cynical players in there: Ayala, Carboni and Marchena and others.

I don't think he minds his players to play a bit nasty. Like in the TLW Carra interview where he tells Carra to kick the shit out of Diouf on the halfwayline instead of around the box. He doesn't tell him not to.

Re: Lucas Neill

It's a hard one to swallow, but I reckon he might do well for us. Shouldn't we have at least one nasty fucker in our squad? We'll have him man mark Gary Neville, Lumparse, and the like...

Re: Lucas Neill

Neill and Pennant would be the naughtiest ride side in the PL.

Kuyt the smoker and bad boy Beller up front.

Half way there to an LFC naughty XI.

I thought this website wasn't around when we (Souness) bought Julian Dicks. Was it comparable to this deal? How do you guys see it?

I thought having Pennant in the squad was hard to take but this one is beyond belief.

Re: Lucas Neill

The reason why Rafa would go for him is that he's seen that Palletta is not ready yet for the first team.. Agger defo is, with Neill coming in, again, that would give us the 2 players for every position.

Also as someone mentioned he can cover at right/left back which can't be a bad thing..

I'd go for it. I think we would get him for about £2-3m with only one year left on his contract.

They don't rule so bad that they had to invent a game called 'Aussie Rules' to try and hoodwink everyone.

It never worked.

I'd rather have a right back who wouldn't look out of his depth against, say, Sheffield United. Playing Kromkamp is like playing the lottery, IMO.

The good thing about unpleasant characters is that they immediately become immensely less unpleasant just by signing for us!
