Re: The Chelsea match report thread...
Agree with you for a change Browinie.
Two things however instead of referring to Momo as a beast of a footballer you should have called him a Redbeast of A footballer.
Secondly I think it is of major significance that for the first time we ended the game the stonger and better team and whatever excuses they make they were beaten by the better team
The only point that worries me is our abillity to concede soft goals and its got to stop before August 23rd. You can accept it in friendlies but not against Haifa and Chelsea

Re: The Chelsea match report thread...
One thing touched upon in the report was the introduction of Bellamy. I dont know if you managed to see all the game afterwards on the TV Ian mate but there was one instance when the ball was played towards Bellamy on the right hand side, he held off one challenge and just kicked into gear and was away until Mongo blocked him off resulting in a foul which pissed Bellamy off and he called Terry all the cunts under sun.
Regardless of not been as fit as us the pace and power we now have is scary, back this up with ball players all over the park and there is no way the opposing team are going to know who to close down because any number of players can supply that killer ball.
The substitutions made the difference in the end but it was picked up by one of the commentators about how many changes Rafa made yet the formation and style of play was un-altered.
Roll on Saturday and hopefully we will be top of the league come 3pm.

Re: The Chelsea match report thread...
The reason I do that is it's easier to keep track of how many people have viewed the report. Otherwise the item on the front page will hardly have any views but the report itself will have loads. It saves me having to go into the 1st team reports forum to check how many people have read it, and also, it doesn't look good if the article on the front page only has 100 or so views.
Potential advertisers who come on the site will look at the main homepage, and so I need an accurate reflection on there of who is reading what. So that's why I link to that one. I know it's a pain in the arse, but the way the site is set out I can't really do it any other way.
I can't have the report itself on the front page, because the page is laid out differently and wouldn't look right on the homepage. And I can't just put the report into the 'news' forum because it needs to be in the 1st team reports section.

What makes me laugh about Bellamy is once he starts mouthing off, it carries on for a good couple of minutes. I was pissing myself on wednesday night when he was given offisde. He moaned to the linesman, the ref and then to most of their defence.
Then when he was giving Mongo shit, he just kept it going for ages. Well funny.
