radio advert for new kit
Anyone heard the advert doing the rounds on the radio for the new kit where Gerrard is talking from a script and sounding wooden?
It's cringeworthy stuff, and we'd all be buzzing off it if it was the Blues.
Terrible, terrible advert.

It's gotta be better than the Everton ones on Radio City begging fans to go the game because they've got 30,000 tickets left, "Get behind your club!" and all that bollocks.

What the fuck. How can you advertise something on the radio, when it's main selling point is how it looks! Sack Pa... ah forget it, Radio is cheaper and statistically more effective, apparently.
Gerrard sounding wooden hey? Not saying you're a liar Brownie, but I just cannot believe that.

, We used to get lumps of coal if we'd been bad. How times have changed.

Obviously Gerrard's no Marlon Brando, but this ad is especially bad I think. They are making him say 'the first time I walked out with that famous red shirt on in front of the Kop' etc. Now i've heard him say similar things in interviews over the years and it's sounded fine, but it's blatantly obvious that on this occasion he's reading it from a script.
It may be radio but you can still distinguish things!
It's just really cheesy with horrible music in the background and a daft tone about it - it's a ....ing new kit for gods sake, not an advert for the history of the club!
