Jermaine Penitent
They are saying on YNWA that Jermaine Penitent is in the bag. (Makes a change from the nick I suppose...).
2 year contract or something like that.
Nice work - and I can see Rafa bringing in another right sided player (Alves?) for depth.
woohoo!

Re: Jermaine Penitent
Pennant and Defoe would be great signings... English too, both pacey, young and good talents.

Why Pennant? has he been that good?, I reserve my judgment,he does not stand out for me.

Re: Jermaine Penitent
Pennant is a tremendous player but a little cunt. If he could sort himself out off the field we'd have a gem. I'd rather we left the twat to rot in the Championship though.
Defoe, I just don't rate him. Just about the most one dimensional English striker in or knocking around the fringes of the England squad.

Re: Jermaine Penitent
Don't think Pennant has what it takes. He's too fragile mentality to play for a huge club, and might be an disruptive influence to our good team spirit.
Nothing's confirmed yet anyway. These morons on the interent who claim that they have insider info are getting on my tits. I'll believe it when the club make an announcement.

Wouldn't go that far. He didn't even stand out in a poor Brum side.

Agree, a decent enough player but not good enough to take us to the next level

Have you seen alot of Pennant? only saying that because of your location. To be fair i don't take much notice of B'Ham, its just nobody seem's to be pushing him for england like Lennon was.

Do you even watch football?
He was so crap for Birmingham that he got 3 man of the matches on the spin, provided the most crosses in the premiership and was being singled out for praise by many opposing managers.

Re: Jermaine Penitent
3 MOTM's on the spin eh? Wowzer!
And he's so popular with Premiership managers, that all of them are rushing to get his signature and ASBO order.

So other teams not wanting them makes them crap. Garcia was not wanted by anyone nor Riise both of whom are shit.
I am honestly surprised you dont have an ASBO but it is quite clear you dont go out enough to get one.
And 3 MOTM's on the bounce is quite a feet when playing against top half of the table teams.

Re: Jermaine Penitent
I would like to see us go for Guily rather than Pennant, also what price would he cost from B'Ham,As Guily has one year left on his contract.

Re: Jermaine Penitent
Guily is genuine quality though, and has top level experience. Why go for him when we can get a Yardie criminal.

Re: Jermaine Penitent
Pennant looked good I thought this season. He had the trick to beat his man and then the pace to go past him. Once he was past him he would usually put in quality. He did well against us 2 seasons on the spin iirc at St. Andrews in the league with his crossing (didn't they score 3 of there 4 goals from his crosses? and he also put the cross in at Anfield for there goal this season).
