Re: TLW betting for HJC

Just in case anyone's interested you can get 4.33 for your money on near the top of the league Port Vale to beat dead bottom of the league Bristol City this weekend on bet365. The draw is offered at 3.40 which is still good so you could put a few quid on both and still come out tops if you felt like playing safe.

I fancy the draw.

Re: TLW betting for HJC

To Confirm.

Well I have taken on one bet with 'kop' but can't afford to take on whole forum. So one bet is enough. Baros to score more goals than Crouch on the league this season. Measured by number of games v goals scored.

And with Paul - Traore to start less 75% of the league games. £20 each to HJC.

Just to clarify, as we won't be able to remember this in 10 months, but as I was soundly put in my place on the issue, it's per start, not per game. Other than that it looks good.

Oh, and the humble pie Rashid is gonna eat if I win

Rash, as I've posted elsewhere (and you conveniently ignored), it was not just league games. And by the way, I'm not having Djimi as available for selection until he's in the first team squad. 34 minutes for the ressies? You must be really worried.

He is fit and available now as far as I am concerned Paul - he said today on .tv he is back.

As for non league games, I didn't agree that. Only the league as its easier to measure.

I don't want to dig up old posts Rash but you agreed to ALL games! I distinctly remember because Paul got the bet on with you first, then you declined the same bet with me which was fair enough.

Djimi is not fit or available for selection. If you'd care to show me where it says he is on the offy I'll happily retract that statement.

Cheers, Drewy. Rash, I know you're running scared, but play the game, eh? What's with all the ducking and diving? The bet starts as soon as he's named in a squad for the first team - even if he doesn't make the bench. And it was all games - that was one of the many reasons I was so happy to take the bet: it's easy money for the HJC and lashings of humble pie for me and Djimbo.

You can thank me now, sanity fans. Rashid has agreed that he won't mention Peter Crouch negatively again between now and the new year. If he does, he'll donate a tenner to the HJC; if he doesn't, I will.

We could also do one on the highest transfer fee, and even the lowest (excluding frees). It would liven up the summer a bit after Wednesday and make the transfer speculation a bit more interesting.

Anyone in? I'm going for 16 deals (including youngsters), £12.5m as the top price and 50 grand as the lowest. Anyone want to play? It's for a good cause.
Right, we need to resolve this now. What's the final tally? (Tell me if I'm wrong, please).

Top price - Crouch at £7m?
Lowest - Zenden on a free.

Actual signings - this is hard with all the low key ressies players who've joined:

Crouch
Reina
Sissoko
Zenden
Barragan
Antwi
Hobbs
Nardielo
Luque

Plus there are still about 3 other youngsters. Who am I missing, please?

Luque went to Newcastle Paul, Newcastle I tells ya!

Didn't we get one Mimms to?

And Besian Idrizaj and Ramon Calliste

And the free's didn't count as lowest if I remember it correct (yeah I did go back and check, my memory isn't THAT good).

Re: TLW betting for HJC

So, it's 12 players, highest Crouchinho at £7m, cheapest (frees excluded) has to be Sissoko at £5.5m as no figures were released for the youngsters, were they? Is that all correct, and who won?

We had to pay about £250 000 for Barragan... would you agree that he is cheaper than Sissoko?
