Wayne Routledge
Wayne Routledge - a very tricky right winger, grew up on Merseyside with his mum and supported Liverpool. Used to camp out at Melwood waiting for John Barnes.
Recently gave Ashley Cole a torrid time and his contract ends in May. He won't be free as he is only 19 but he would be a super acquisition for us, a genuine English winger from Merseyside who wouldn't cost much but is very talented.
We really should be going for talent like this.

A rough diamond but I doubt he'll ever fulfil his potential.

Fuck Wayne Routledge. We've got Kewell who's equally as shit.

Re: Wayne Routledge
Give me boyhood blues over boyhood reds anyday (Carra, McMananaman instead of fried-out combie Harry).

Re: Wayne Routledge
He is a tricky winger who knows what it means to play for Liverpool. He is playing for England U21 and has great potential, at say £2M he is worth the risk. I'd love us to pay £2M on a Liverpool lad desperate to play for the reds at 19.
We could buy a world class midfielder and have Routledge work to get into the team like the LIverpool of old. As I said great prospect, English, very young, and has the ability to go far. Needs a chance at a big club with a good manager.

hmm A Liverpool lad desperate to play for the club at 19, The words warnock, Welsh, Potter, mannix mean anything to you ?? Admitedly not all 'tricky wingers' as you say, but your argument seems to be more based around his desire to play for Liverpool which I think you will agree is a guaranteed fraction of the aboves desire.

Routledge is an England U21 International, a very good prospect and very talented. None of Warnock, Welsh, Potter or Mannix are right wingers or play in his position. We also need a right winger, he would be cheap and a good prospect.

Re: Wayne Routledge
H has looked OK when i've seen him but whether he's good enough for us i'm not so sure. He always doing silly stepovers which gets on my tits.
If he's available for very cheap then maybe we could keep an eye on him though.
One player i'd definitely go for though is Andy Reid. I've admired him for a long time and he goes from strength to strength. With our budget he'd be a good signing I reckon.
