Cue for another TO mess??

The 3rd round tie of this season's UEFA Cup will be played at Anfied on Thursday 26th February with the second leg to be played in Sofia on Wednesday 3rd March 2004.

The draw for the 4th round will take place in Nyon on Thursday 4th March with the first leg of the 4th round to be played only seven days later on 11th March 2004. The second leg of the 4th round will be played on 25th March 2004.

In the event of qualifying for the 4th round there are only seven days in which to organise the sale of a possible home fixture. Due to this limited amount of time in which to organise the sale of an anticipated sell out at the 4th round stage it will be necessary for tickets to the home legs of the 3rd and 4th rounds to be sold at the same time.

Supporters who qualify for tickets to the 3rd round are strongly recommended to purchase their tickets for the 4th round at the same time. Due to the method in which the sale has had to be structured supporters who purchase only 3rd round tickets will then only be available to purchase 4th round tickets if a general sale takes place and therefore risk losing the loyalty for the 4th round.

If Liverpool F.C. are eliminated from the competition after the completion of the 3rd round refunds will be given provided that the tickets purchased for the 4th round are returned to the Ticket Office.

In the event of being drawn away in the first leg of the 4th round ticket information will be released as soon as this has been obtained from our opponents.

Liverpool Football Club would like to point out that they do not condone the selling of tickets on the assumption of progressing in the competition but have been left with no alternative due to the timescale between the draw and the first leg of the 4th round being under the control of UEFA.

Supporters are reminded that priority will be given to fans who have bought tickets for this round should we progress to the next stage of the competition.

Fans who have previously purchased tickets online for either the Olimpija Ljubljana or the Steaua Bucharest game (and so are in possession of one stub) will be contacted by mail and provided with a unique booking reference number. This booking reference will be required in order to purchase the balance of tickets online for the Levski Sofia game on Friday 13th February at 10 am. This isn't the ticket office's fault. Blame UEFA for making such a shitty fixture schedule

Re: Cue for another TO mess??

What's better go for the loyalty thing, or save cost and buy later.

I might be living in dreamland, but I thought cause I have bought tickets for every round, I could possibly go to final if we get there.

I don't know am I mad thinking that!!

Re: Cue for another TO mess??

Dont want to shatter your illusions Truered but I'd expect the final to be treated as an away fixture, with tickets only available to season ticket holders or ETC members. Something to do with UEFA regulations over sale of tickets only being allowed to members.

YOu haven't shattered it Steve to be honest I thought as much, a bit annoying that season tickets holders who don't go all games can get ticket for final before people who have gone every round.

But yeah it doesn't surprise me at all.

Re: Cue for another TO mess??

I think ETC members who've travelled to Euro Away games will be given priority.

Then it'll go to ST holders and non ST holders who've been to the home games.

Either way, if you aren't in the ETC, I'd suggest you enter the ballot to get tickets from UEFA.com next month. The Stadium in Gothenburg is no bigger than Anfield. Think it holds 42,000. That may sound sufficient, but when we played in Dorty which held 63,000, each club only got an official allocation of 14,000. We'd get even less at a smaller ground, probably only around 10,000 each.

Plus UEFA insist on giving tickets to local fans in the country where the final is played and a shit load go to sponsors and businessmen.

42,000 seats would most likely break down as:

20,000 between each finalist's fans
12,000 UEFA ballot and locals
10,000 (minium) sponsors

Re: Cue for another TO mess??

Bear in mind too that out of the 10000 we receive, about 6000 will go to Lonsdales. If you havent been to a Euro away and arent prepared to pay Lonsdales inflated prices, there's little chance.

Re: Cue for another TO mess??

I reckon people who have been to lubly jubly whatever, bucharest and are going to bulgaria should get some sort of loyalty bonus. there can only be a couple of thousand who will have done all/most of them.
